Itchy & Scratchy
The past 4 days have been hell. I wake up and my stomach has the most horrendous itch I have ever felt, I get in the shower and the running water seems to help a small bit. Get out and towel dry which aggravates the itching again. The itching does not stop. Now I know that an itchy belly is totally normal during pregnancy, its my skins reaction to the intense stretching that is going on. However no one told me that the itching would be so intense that I would literally cry because nothing is curing it. I don't scratch I try to just gently rub, it does nothing but aggravate the itching. I have been religiously applying not only a cocoa butter lotion but also palmers cocoa body butter. Not to prevent stretch marks because they run in my genes and I knew it was just a matter of time before they came (they are here by the way) but to prevent this insane itch. I thought I was a lost cause. Then my O.B check up was yesterday and during the usual "how are you feeling? Any complaints?" Q & A section of the apt I mention the insane itch. Low and behold my fabulous Dr. told me she would write me a prescription for some cream. Little did I know how much of a God send this cream really was. I LOVE IT!! It smells similar though not as strong as Vicks Vapor rub. And it has this amazing instacool sensation that lasts and lasts. Aww... I am in love!! And so pleased to say my itching is cured!!!

That's great!! You might want to bring it to the hospital... I itched during labor (though I never did during my pregnancy) and with the epidural you can't really tell how hard you're scratching.
